M — Mercy
Words for 2026: An A–Z | Week 13 of 26
Mercy is kindness with a wider frame. It remembers context. It makes room for what’s been hard.
There are days I come to Mem tired, distracted, brittle around the edges. Those are the days I’m most likely to judge the work—its pace, its clumsiness, its refusal to cooperate.
Mercy doesn’t pretend everything is fine. It simply says: Of course this is difficult. It loosens the tightness that comes from trying to be impressive.
This week, mercy looks like not turning a slow day into a verdict.

I'm going to post this at the top of my screen.
"This week, mercy looks like not turning a slow day into a verdict."
Thank you.
