Patience is not passive. It’s active restraint. It’s choosing not to force what isn’t ready.
Mem has her own tempo. When I try to speed her up, she goes quiet. When I hover and demand, the work tightens.
Patience is trusting that the next sentence will come—maybe not on my preferred schedule, but in its own time.
This week, I’m practicing patience the way we do with someone we love: staying close, without gripping.
Slow is good.
